What User Said About this food processor – “I’ve been looking for a food processor for a long time, reading reviews, checking Consumer Reports, etc., and when I came across this model and all the reviews on Amazon, I decided to buy it.

I absolutely love this food processor – it does everything that I’d hoped for, it is extremely easy to use and to clean, and it looks very handsome on my counter. The workmanship and materials are very sturdy and, compared to other food processors I’ve heard at friends’ homes, it is not noisy at all. The very first recipe that I made was to puree some apricots, grind almonds, and combine all other ingredients to stuff chicken breasts. My guests were blown away with the creamy consistency of the apricots. I also made the appetizers using the food processor and each one turned out superb. I am truly impressed with this unit. The price is well worth it. “

The Bad:

“My low rating is only due to the incorrect dimensions referenced on the Amazon website. Sadly, I had to return this item. The height for the product is incorrectly reflected as 14 1/2 inches……it is closer to 15 1/2 inches. Since I was limited to a max clearance of 14 1/2 inches, I was unable to fit this unit on my counter. Since it is also a heavy product, I really didn’t want to lug the product in and out of my cabinets as it weights at least 15 lbs. Since I already have to do this for my Kitchenaid Mixer, I know first hand how much of an inconvenience this is.

The Chrome finish however is very beautiful and although I didn’t even turn this unit on, it is a recommended product by Consumer Reports. If size is an issue in your kitchen, I would strongly recommend searching for these products in a store to take some measurements before buying as they are BIG and will take up a lot of space. For me….well, I’ll just have to keep looking” – LoriAnnR

The Good:

“Boy, am I glad I bought this processor. It is well designed and well made. You definitely get what you pay for.

The base unit is big (10″ x 8″ x 6″ high) and heavy. But it is amazingly quiet. It has large rubber feet which prevent the unit from moving or vibrating on the counter. The motor has enough torque to mix or rip through anything dropped in it. The work bowl is wider than the previous 9 cup model (7″) which makes it very easy to work inside and remove the contents. Another nice touch is the bowl cover which fits over both the inside and outside rim of the work bowl to prevent spillage. The large food pusher is also a measuring cup. Many of the 12 cup accessories fit this processor, too.

The mini bowl accessory is useful because it easily drops into the large work bowl and then quickly chops small amounts of ingredients. The processor comes with the mini bowl & blade, dough blade, 2 mm slicing disk, 4 mm shredding disk and spatula. The booklet has 18 pages of well illustrated instructions (all English) and another 22 pages of recipes. Final note: This item is securely packed in styrofoam. In addition, KitchenAid encloses the box inside a slightly larger shipping carton. This prevents the product and its box from being damaged during shipment from Amazon’s warehouse – another nice touch.” – cjenkins
